Gunpowder Green Tea

The leaves of this green tea are rolled into the shape of little pinhead pellets resembling gunpowder, hence its name. Gunpowder tea leaves stay fresh longer than any other green tea leaves due to its compressed form. Gunpowder green is higher in caffeine than most other green tea.

All of our green tea is stored in the freezer before handing to our clients. Super freshness and high quality.

Name of tea: High mountain Maofeng

Tea tree: Local bush variety over 80 years old.

Origin: Chunan county, Zhejiang province

Harvest time: 2014 spring, April 7

Picking standard: One bud with one leaf or two leaves

Shape: Twisted, tight and slim

Dried tea color: light yellowish-green color

Aroma: fresh pleasing orchid aroma.

Taste: super fresh, thick, long-lasting sweetness and high floral aroma

Brewing vessel: Recommended tall& straight glass cup to view tea buds displaying/standing up in the cup. The capacity of the glass cup is around 200ml.

Brewing guidelines: glass cup; 2-3 grams per time (based on personal taste); the first infusion is 85-90C degree or 185-194F for about 2-3 minutes; then the second is about 3-4 minutes.

Brewing steps: first warm up the glass cup and pour out the hot water; second put the teas in the warm cup and rotate it gently and smell the aroma first; after that, pour 1/3 of 85 degree water into the cup, rotate the teas in the water gently for 10 seconds and smell the aroma; Finally pour the needed water to the cup again for the first infusion.

Shipping Damage / Shipping Loss

Please inspect the items immediately upon arrival. Within 72 hours of receipt, report the damage to us if there is any. Buyers will be given the options to receive a replacement or refund.

If it has been over 35 days since your order date and it has not been received, contact us immediately, we will work quickly to locate the item and help solve it. If the item was sent lost on delivery, a replacement or retund will be offered, but please allow up to 5 business days for the resolution.
